Linux Device Drivers, Third Edition This is the web site for the Third Edition of Linux Device Drivers, by Jonathan Corbet, Alessandro Rubini, and Greg Kroah-Hartman. For the moment, only the finished PDF files are available; we do intend to make an HTML version and the DocBook source available as well. With a full-size USB port, the Linx 12X64 lets you connect all your external devices wihtout the need for additional hubs or cables. Whether you need files from your external HDD, prefer to use a mouse when working, or just want to connect with your Windows Xbox controller for a better gaming experience, the Linx 12X64 lets you work and play.
But if your device is running a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, then there’s a chance you can download and install the stock firmware using QPST tool to recover your device from the bricked state. And for that, your device must be booted into EDL mode and recognized as ‘ Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 ‘ by your Windows PC’s Device Manager. If you are new to Linux and coming from the Windows or MacOS world, you'll be glad to know that Linux offers ways to see whether a driver is available through wizard-like programs. Ubuntu offers the Additional Drivers option. Other Linux distributions provide helper programs, like Package Manager for GNOME, that you can check for available.
