Answer:
The eCopy ShareScan ScanStation client works with both TWAIN and ISIS standards. ScanStation also can capture images utilizing 'Send To eCopy' and the 'Email and Watched Folder Services'. This flexibility will allow a large number of scan devices to work with eCopy ShareScan ScanStation.
Nuance publishes a list of supported devices, which work with the ShareScan Embedded client. All devices listed as compatible with ShareScan are also supported with the use of TWAIN and ISIS drivers, as applicable.
Many MFPs and Scanners that are NOT on the Supported Devices list will also work well with ShareScan, however as the TWAIN specifications are interpreted differently by each vendor, so please note that there may be limitations of TWAIN drivers that affect compatibility with ShareScan. If issues are found with a specific TWAIN driver, Nuance reserves the right to recommend other solutions, such as using a supported ISIS driver, or using a different workflow including 'Send To eCopy' and the 'Email and Watched Folder Services'.
